Changes to Wing Ordering in POS

We’ve made some necessary updates to how wings are ordered in the POS to ensure they display clearly and accurately on the KDS.
What We Found:
During testing in PAR, we discovered that each wing was showing individually with its flavor, making it impossible for staff to quickly determine totals and sauces. The display was cluttered and not operator-friendly.
What’s Changing:
To make things manageable, the POS will now prompt for flavors in halves. For example, if a guest orders 8 wings, the POS will ask for two flavor selections of 4 wings each.
- If the guest wants all Buffalo, they’ll simply select Buffalo twice.
- Guests can still order single wings in any flavor if they choose.
This change allows for easier reading on the KDS and quicker prep. You’ll see examples of the updated KDS format for PAR below.
